Fmadd9 guitar chord

F minor added 9th. Fmadd9 is a barre chord. Expect it to buzz for a while; that is normal, not a talent problem. Many songs that use it also have a capo detour.

Fmadd9

Finger by finger

  1. Lay your index finger flat across 2 strings, from the G string to the B string, at the 1st fret. That bar is the anchor; the rest of the shape sits on top of it.
  2. Put your ring finger on the 3rd fret of the D string.
  3. Put your pinky on the 3rd fret of the high E string.
  4. Skip the low E string and A string when you strum; they are not part of the chord.
